I hurt my knee yesterday on the atv, so I will have to get creative with my exercises. Won't be able to use the nordictrak for a while and will not get much work on the mini trampoline. Hmmm! I was doing so well, too. I will just have to figure something out. Fortunately, I have hardly any pain. Will give it a few days and see how it feels then. Meanwhile, I'll just do what I can. I wonder how that will affect my weight loss. Since I was diagnosed hypothyroid, I have had to really watch my cal intake and make sure I exercise 4 to 5 days a week, an hour each. Bummer!

Okay, so, carb lovers on fb says to focus on the weight loss process this week and what works. Well, one thing I know doesn't work is not writing down what I'm eating. I sure does help me watch my portion sizes and keep track of calories consumed. Last wednesday I was down another 2 1/2 but did not record my meals the latter half of the week and gained back 2 of those pounds. I gotta make time to record.

My post for my challenge was kind of long but I had more to say. Even though I did not lose as much as many people do during the kickstart phase (probably do to higher cal intake), I do notice some changes. The pressure in my abdomen is still gone (hopefully gone for good), clothes not as snug, and my skin is looking better. This diet fascinates me. I have eaten more food per day than I have in a long time, just as I start to feel hungry, it's time to eat again. I think I will make changes this week tho. Stacy wants me to learn how to combine my starches with proteins, CLA's & MUFA's (which is why she recommended I buy the carb lovers diet book. Other than that, she is happy with my diet when I am on track. I will go back to making a green smoothie in the morning (I prefer it to the shake) and eat a hard boiled egg with it. That will give me my MUFA's, veggies and protein. I will just cut the smoothie in half if I get full. I will also continue to try to keep my calories below 1500 and begin to increase my exercise. My goal is 1 hour 5 days a week.

Good morning! I am on day 4 of the 7-wk kickstart. I exercised this morning on my NordicTrac then stretched afterward like I normally do. Starting out by laying on the floor on my back, reach up over my head for bit then I draw my knees to my chest and hold them tight with my arms. This has been getting more and more difficult over the last couple of years (even at a lower weight). There's been pressure in my lower abdomen. No pain, just a feeling of fullness. WELL! This morning, there was no feeling of fullness! What a pleasant surprise!! Encouragement! Wow! What a good feeling - or non feeling! While the majority of the country seems to be under snow, we only got down to 42 last night. Looking like a beautiful day today, I think I'll do some yard work. The black bean tacos last night were great! Doubled the recipe so hubby could have his fill. Planning to have left overs today. Have a great day everyone!
