I love junk food. Chips, nachos, you name it, I'll eat it. (More like binge on it.) Does anyone know of something satisfying to substitute when the urge hits? I don't like the baked chips, and the reduced-fat are still too fattening.

I really blew it with lunch today. I got half chicken salad sandwich and corn chowder. Come to find out they gave me chips with my combo. How nice of them. So naturally I ate them. Soup and sandwich can be a pretty good bet, but not with the ones I got. Oh well. Salad for dinner I guess.

Went back up .4 pounds since yesterday. That's ok. I was pretty good yesterday so I guess it's the day-to-day fluctuations. I really need to start excersising!

Wow! I've lost 7 pounds. I seriously cannot believe I'm actually sticking with it this time. And seeing the weight come off is the biggest incentive to keep going. I guess it's like quitting smoking, you have to really make up your mind and do it. None of this wishy-washy stuff I usually try. I just hope I can keep doing it. No, I know I can keep doing it. The funniest thing is I don't even crave all that salty junk food that I used to love. I have actually come to like, and look forward to the salads and the fruit.

I don't get it. One day I can lose 3 pounds, and the next day I gain back 2.5. Does this happen to anyone else? Do you weigh in every day or once a week? Maybe if I weighed in once a week it will give me a better idea of what my weight really is. I'm addicted to that scale though. Every morning I have to see how I'm doing. I think it gives perspective on whether I really need to cut back or not.
