Great drop. I have never had to be on a liquid diet that long. I hope it goes well for you. It is all leading to the end result. Good luck on your surgery.

Well, whenever I face something hard I try to break it down into manageable chunks and tell myself something like "I can do anything for 2 weeks" 2 weeks might seem like a lifetime but you CAN do this. Plan ahead and prepare for those two weeks. Is there a new hobby you would like to take up? Books you have been wanting to read? etc...plan to keep as busy as possible so you can keep your mind off of eating. Is there something you could do during that time that focuses on others? Like maybe writing cards/letters to soldiers? Making out your Christmas cards early? lol... Maybe make a "dream board" during that time. Decorate and add to your board all those things you want to try or places you want to visit once you get healthy. It could help motivate and remind you of why you are doing what you are doing to get healthy!

Wow thank you your very insightful, when i was working i was the manager over motivation and i did do alot of decorating and so forth. I LOVE THAT IDEA. I appreciate that, now that i am no longer able to work. Becoming disabled at 44 yrs old was as painful as the dang accident at work that was as hard as the result. You are correct i will have my surgery 12-10-14 for the neurosurgeon will implant the morphine pain pump. Then i will be ready for the bariatric. And you are right we can do anything we set our minds to. God bless u honey

Sheila, when I was 13 my Dad got hit by a car while he was walking down the side of the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to a local hospital where they parked him in the hallway before they took him to the morgue. A nurse walking past his body covered with a sheet and a tag on his toe almost had a heart attack because the dead man was singing "Stop and smell the roses" under the sheet. He was split all the way up the center of his body from groin to face, severe internal injuries and his left leg was crushed from the knee down by two tire treads. They said he wouldn't live, he did. They said he would never walk again, he did. They said he would never work again, he did. My Dad was the most stubborn man alive, he always got back up when he was knocked down. Don't ever let anything shake your belief that you can do anything you set your mind on.
