Hmm. I found just the opposite. I had IBS/GERD for years and when I went low carb it cleared up pretty quick. I went low carb after reading a series of articles by http://chriskresser. com/ heartburn (take out the spaces, FS doesn't like links in comments in case they are spam) and in the past year and a half of low carb eating I have gone from 3-4 days a week of stomach ache to the occasional "maybe I ate something bad" a couple times a year.
