day 11, we'll call yesterday a rest day from the hard pushes. muscle up, water up, blob down. Sadie and I went to class by ourselves, first time I've trained German shepherds without having one or two there myself. I left Shasta with hogan to keep him calm. we walked 2.5 miles on our own before class, that was nice. got to take some pics of things where I normally can't stop. average heart rate was 106, no minutes in upper tiers, but that's okay. got steps in and fresh air.
learning that all the dogs know everything I'm asking them but selectively ignore me in the presence of the others. kinda like kids. Sadie is mostly deaf, so we use hand signals with her and they work amazingly well. teach them as you go, it's a great skill for them to have when there's a noisy environment.
Hogan is resting, I have a baby gate ordered that should be here tomorrow so he'll have a bit more room than his crate. he's doing well as far as confinement. going as well as it can at this point. still working on chiropractor.
