So, yesterday I modified the diet--more meat, extra fruit...and then my sis came to visit, so I allowed myself to have white wine. I also ate more protein than allowed, had a salad which included 3 veggies: spinach, tomato & cucumber with balsamic, 3 breadsticks, and two strawberries. I'm about to total all of these calories up. But the good news: I lost 1 lb from the day before. I'm not saying this is going to be my standard...esp the wine, but I believe that perhaps this diet doesn't have to be so restrictive. I mean, why can't I have a combination of veggies with my meat every now and then? The additional protein will be key to my success. I need that to keep my blood sugar in check. I will keep assessing this.
