Either first day excitement got the best of me or I'm actually dedicated to losing the weight.
We went walking this morning (fast paced) and thoroughly pleased our dog with a moderate 2 mile walk :-)
I cooked all our meals today, (we normally pick up lunch in town) and that wasn't too bad either. I still have to pick up a scale either tomorrow or later in the week. I'm worried if I start with too low a calorie intake it will be hard to pick up from there. I'm fighting a snack or dessert because that's where I lack the greatest self control. I might grab a fruit cup or a 100 calorie snack pack. I'll be sure to report who won that battle lol.
I already enjoy hiking, but don't get to as much as I would like to and was thinking about adding that to my exercise effort. I'm also trying to get a few friends to do a family 5k walk for charity this weekend- but of course, everyone is worried about coming in last lol We'll see how that plays out.
PS it's absolutely not fair that men lose weight much faster than women!

Hi!
I'm new to the website but an oldie in the effort to lose weight.
I was able to shed 30 pounds last year, but a knee injury not only put me back to square one but took me many pounds back!
Since then it has been more of a struggle to even encourage myself to stick to anything. I'm hoping communicating and tracking my efforts will help me on my weight loss journey.
