Steadily losing 👍 Yesterday I was 164.
Yesterday I did squats and I did front squats. I can not get my elbows up on the front squat. My modality is crap or my forearms are too long or something so I did them with my arms crossed. I didn’t want to do them that way because the bar rests on my tattoo and that isn’t going to help me transition to the clean and jerk. I have to be able to get my elbows up to be able to execute the clean and jerk I guess I’m just going to have to take it slow and try to find a way. Today ill be working on upper body and then I have to go to the dentist 😓 not thrilled
In other news I found out unofficially that our store will be closing in May/ June. Corporate is apparently waiting to tell us in February/March. I am beyond stressed out. I really don’t know what is going to happen with my job. There is a good possibility that I’ll be transferred to another Office Depot. 2 problems with that: 1. The closest one that is hiring is 25 miles away and 2. I am barely trained. I was training for both positions (Customer service and Operations) my first month and then it was busy back to school season so we planned to start to train me again in October. Then he got fired so that never happened. I know most everything I need to know except how to sell services (I am not a natural salesman) 😰 Which is a super important part of our sales. They may decide I’m not fit and fire me or demote me. I make just barely enough to afford my rent each month. I can’t afford to take a demotion 😓 But as I mentioned before I make a few dollars more an hour than every other customer service job I see hiring.
Right now, I’m trying my hardest to be perfect! But my other managers have given up and I am basically completing their tasks before I get started with my own 😰😰😰
I’m trying not to freak out about it. Looks like I need to make that resume I was planning on ASAP

I hope everyone’s week has started off great! I’m finally going to bed. I had a long day today. Tomorrow should be a little less crazy at work. I might have to work 6 days again though 😑
I’m officially starting a cut! Last week I cut my calories a little. I averaged 1950 cals a day. I started last week at 165 and today I’m 165.2 so I guess that is my maintenance. I’m going to try to lose 13 pounds (about 8% of my body weight) in 8 weeks. I think I’ll be able to lose about 3-4 pounds this week (because of extra water weight) and then I’ll try to lose about 1.5 pounds a week for the following 7 weeks. I’ve set my cals to 1700 and I’ll see what happens as I go.
My workouts are basically going to stay the same, but I’m doing a lot more walking. I did almost 6 miles at work today 😁👍 That’s about 4K more than usual 😃😃

Sooo I PRed on squats Wednesday. Not by very much. But 145# is my new max! That is a 20# increase since November 2. That is about 7 weeks of training. I did take a couple of weeks off since then.
Today was dead’s and I failed my original PR of 155. I know why. I made huge jumps, very few reps, and I only tried once. When I couldn’t get it I removed 10# and did 5 reps and then moved on to accessories.
My heavy lifts have been feeling really heavy for the first rep and then easy for the rest of them. I figured out whats going on. I started using wrist wraps when I get up to 115#. Because I have to wrap the cloth around the bar after I bend over, I can’t set my lats anymore. The first pull is HArd and then I can do another 5 reps or so at 135# or whatever.
Another possible reason I have not gained significant strength is because I have been dieting off and on over the last 3 months. The weight gain has been too drastic. I should have watched more videos on bulking before I started 😅 oh well it was fun 😜 Next cycle I’ll lean bulk.
I am disappointed but I’m okay with my progress. I have accomplished a lot in 7 months! I have already been cutting calories all week so I think Im just going to focus on cutting, maintaining strength, and perfecting technique. I’d like to drop 20#, get back to where I was before my bulk.
In other news, I’ve been working on my list. Some of the more important things I haven’t quite figured out yet but I’m still working on it. I bought a calendar and a planner 👍
I made latkes with my lunch 😍 they were delicious! And that is a pic of my sketch for the week 😁 I stretched it from a photo I took a couple of years ago in Colorado.

😁 more water weight gone! I’ve been doing pretty good with my list 👍 Smashed my upper body workout this morning and came home and made low fat white chocolate chip cookie bars. They are good but apple sauce is a sad replacement for butter. Works better with chocolate chip and snickerdoodle.
