For LTE, do it! these are from my phone. that's how close they were. obviously make sure you go with a responsible boat, you do not want to disturb them. we were in the middle of a superpod of over 300 dolphins for about 1/2 hour and we had a blue whale surface multiple times. I will be going again soon. the blue whale was so large I could not get the entire thing in any single shot. just amazing.

That is amazing. I saw whales and dolphins years ago on an Alaskan cruise. I've seen whales a couple of times at the coast in Northern California. Always have to take my binoculars. I might be scared that close to them.

This is twelve miles offshore from San Diego, California from this past June. despite all my swimming, I’m not a huge fan of open water in tiny boats, but I’m seriously considering one of the scorpion boat tours this year. It was that cool.

We used to lie down on the bow of our boat and put our hands down flat. The dolphins would come and rub up against them. So amazing.
