One of my favorite places. They opened up in 1965 and have never bothered to update the menu or redecorate. Time capsule of smokey goodness. I usually get the ribs, but wanted chili today.

I'll be literal because I love it that much. it's called The Wrangler Family BBQ, 901 El Cajon Boulevard, El Cajon, California 92020. It is not fancy, it's simple, straightforward good BBQ. They also smoke ham.

Cherry pie is one of my favorites. I will have to consider an almond crust version as the two flavors would work well together. Great jobs making good choices.
