Decided to follow a calorie controlled diet of 1400 calories a day.. Can eat anything I like so long as I don't go over this target. Has worked really well. I usually have muesli or weetbix or cereal for breakfast. A couple of biscuits with a cup of coffee or tea for morning tea. Lunch comprises of a salad sandwich with ham/chicken - no marg... Afternoon tea I might have either a biscuit like a choc royal, dark of course or if I really want to indulge depending on my calorie intake I will have some chocolate. And for tea I will usually have a steak grilled with either a salad or steamed vegies and gravy.

It's not rocket science and I have consistently been losing weight over the last 12 months by following this method.

It doesn't feel like a diet. Eat what you like so long as you keep within your calorie count.

"Don't miss out on your favourite foods, it will only lead to binge eating. Try this method, it has worked for me and I only have less than 10kg left to my lower end of my perfect weight. So far by following this way of eating I have lost nearly 20kg in 12 months.

Sure it may sound slow going but at least I don't feel like I am on a diet and because my main meals are low GI, I don't over eat during the day and I also like to excercise at least 3 - 4 times a week. Walking mostly...."
