If I try, I can visualize myself as a thinner, healthier me but for some reason achieving my goals seems like a myth. For example, I am tracking everything I eat, I am following guidelines on eating healthier and trying to do more exercise but each time I weigh myself I am not surprised if the scale doesn't show any weight loss. For some reason I am expecting disappointment. For some reason I think that even if I eat 500 calories a day (which I’m not, I’m eating 1500-1700) that I won’t lose the weight. Like it won’t work for me. I'm not sure how to explain it exactly, but do you know what I mean? Maybe I need an attitude adjustment!
How do you maintain a positive attitude?!

I started searching the foods before I eat now. See the calories and say yes you could eat this but maybe you should search to see something else and balance it out. Not saying I didn't eat pizza but if I did really good and the pizza didn't put me over having the slice didn't upset the in's and out's. Look your food choices over and see what you can swap out that can be more filling to you. As far as you Positive Attitude keep logging and it will turn around. See what triggers it. Wishing you all the best.

Maybe just make a conscious effort of recognizing and logging one accomplishment or one thing that you have done really well each every day and how that is going to help you achieve your goal. And also acknowledging what you have made positive changes on, maybe that starts with recognizing once you have done something right for 5 days in a row, or 7 days in a row. Rather than focusing on what it is that you haven't been able to accomplish. I think in terms of recording everything that you eat and then weighing in on a regular basis, you see the correlation so once you see that your behaviors have a positive impact, not only weight but with your attitude about approaching the day etc, then your mentality will eventually follow suit.

Weight loss is a HARD, lol! I try to keep a sense of humor about it. When I eat healthy and I exercise, I feel better. But we all tend to have those days. Sometimes our emotions are linked to the scale. You just have to be like the little engine that could and keep chugging. Go to Amazon.com and look up a book called "Becks Diet Solution". It offers ways of dealing with food, our behaviors and how we think about food. Look at the reviews. It might help (also check out your local library.) You are a work in progress, lol! Keep working and eventually you will get there.

I had that with the number on the scales too. But in the last week I couldn't weigh in properly due to broken scales and what makes me feel good now is not going to bed feeling like I've overeaten and waking up not having a bloated belly. I'm guessing I've roughly maintained my weight but it's not such a huge stress since not weighing myself daily. I am feeling happy with being in control of my food. Even if I have been slightly going over my RDI, it's been with extra fruit in the evening. Maybe the trick is to feel good about what and how you are eating and the weight loss will follow. I'm no expert though I'm just over the moon that I'm not bingeing on loads of chocolate every night.
