I found this site The Hacker's Diet (How to lose weight and hair through stress and poor nutrition) from a post by someone else here on Fatsecret. Interesting read, especially if you look at things from an analytical perspective. The section entitled "Signal and Noise" helps to explain the cause for day to day variations in your weight.

I wish I saw this a while ago, as I weigh my self daily and am sometimes frustrated with those daily fluctuations.

"frustrated with those daily fluctuations." No kidding, it can be a bit much, eating well, and gaining, then having a little above my RDI and I loose... ~laughs~
