Well,

Week one of WW Flex Points Plan was interesting. Certainly week two will go much better, without the kinks and minor/major indiscretions. 0 Points items are only 0 points items if eaten in the portion size. I just figured veggies that were 0 points, were veggies that were, 0 points. Regardless, that wasn't my biggest indiscretion. Chocolate. Man.

Chocolate = nemesis. I love it. Really, love it. Atleast now, all the late arrivals (ie, chocolate boxes etc) from clients will have stopped, so the tempation is removed.

And you know, on the plus side, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one 'dieting', however I'm probably the only in the office considered 'obese, or morbidly obese'...But it is nice to know that everyone has diet and weight somewhere in there subconscious. And, if everyone has it on there minds right now, then it'll be easier when going out for work lunches, or when the admin brings in lunch for meetings. That's always a struggle.

But, in hindsight, after only a week on WW, I have to say it's unlike any diet I've ever tried. It's not limiting whatsoever in WHAT you can eat, just in how much you can eat. I like that. I've done the shake diets, Slim Fast, Atkins, but none of them are really any type of lifestyle a person can sustain for any great length of time, and then when you stop, you gain the weight back and some. WW I think, or have this sinking suspicion will actually teach me something about my relationship with food, and portion size, hunger control, etc. Which is the right lesson. So, for better or worse, WW is the way to go.

It might take a little longer (however, I've come to reailse there is no quick solution to weight loss, the weight will come off harder than it was to put on), in the end the goal will be reached, and by then, I should have a healthy realisation of what I need to do to stay the way I worked so hard for. I'm rather thrilled at the concept. I've never been thin in my life, I just know I don't want to be the 300 lb 24 year old girl, with diabetes and heart disease. No, I'm going to avoid that. Next year I'd like the be the 170 lb girl, almost reaching her goal of 125 - 130, who is healthy, and fun. :)

I don't even look at WW as a diet because it's teaching me that I can eat anything I want, just in moderation and with portion control. You do have a lovely attitude and that's going to help you do this and of course us too. :) It helps doing this with others.
