Back to doc again today. Probably have developed asthma and will need to stay on meds. That's not horrible--just want to get on with it. Going off the asthma meds (at the direction of my doc) was both of our best guesses as to the reality. Big mistake in that 3 days later I was right back where I started. I will start taking vit C since I read that low vit C and Vit E levels can lead to increased or more severe asthma. Since I don't eat fruits on this diet, I am probably low in vit C.

I have asthma too but thankfully I dont suffer int he winter. I am DREADING spring and summer. I used to live in Mn and had very little trouble. In Nashville it is aweful and I never should have moved here! Where do you live? There has been alot of talk on this website about apple cider vinegar for weight loss and blood sugar. I read up on it and it is supposed to help asthma, yeast, weight loss, blood sugar, and ecsema. I have trouble with all those things so I started it. I take 1 tsp in the morning in a glass of water and one tsp n the evening with a glass of water. You may want to try it- it needs to be organic and unpasturized apple cider vinegar. You can get it at a health food store, or , I got mine at Kroger in the little health food section by the pharmacy. Take care of your self. Tammy

I'm sorry that you are not feeling well. My daughter has a asthma attack maybe once every year. It can be managable, but we started out a little on a rocky road because I wasn't educated about Asthma and I took it very lightly. As it turns out it is a very serious condition to have. So, you take care of yourself and get better real soon.

I've had respiratory problems my whole life though I'm able to stay very active. All I can say is that if you have breathing issues, take the recommended preventatives as directed without fail. It makes a huge difference. It took me way to long to understand this. I'm currently taking Advair which is a miracle drug for me. This is my bad season so I am taking a rescue inhaler fairly often to open up my lungs which seem a bit restricted lately. But most of the year I don't need extra help. Hope you get some relief soon.

When you are having a bad breathing day, try avoiding dairy products. They are mucous-forming and make it harder to breathe. This helps my brother. I hope you get better soon. Take care.

wow-thanks everyone-there's so many w breathing problems! I am back on Advair and although they can't confirm I have asthma, it works. Let's see if it can keep making me feel better and beter.
