Diario de Firelair, 22 nov. 11

Woke up early...tried to go back to sleep for the 2hrs and 15min I had left on my alarm clock (so I got almost 5hrs of the 7hrs I had allotted), but my mind was too active on things to get for the stuffing I'm bringing to Thanksgiving with my family...my mind was too busy on the problem-solution questions I have to ask in my persuasive speech...my mind was worrying about how much time and effort I'd have to put into my lab report, on top of getting another take-home test today, to add to the pile of school work I need to complete before finals...my mind was wandering toward my cousin, family friend, and sister's best friend as possible options for subjects in a photography portfolio I am considering to create to work toward a side-business...

I need a vacation.

You are doing great girl! Dont beat yourself up over the stuff you have to get done, if it gets done it gets done, if not you will find another solution(im thinking about the stuffing here, school work I can understand needing to get done) My best advice next time is get out of bed, make a quick list of what you have to get and what you can and will work on that day regarding school work (concrete things, like finish assignment 3 in class a, read 10 pages in book d for class e. Complete the the introductory section of the lab report and do the shopping for the stuffing. Once the list is made you have to tell yourself that that is all you can do about it now and to be able to do it all you can rest to be prepared. Then go back to bed and relax (dont force sleep it wont come then) until it is time to get up, then follow your list. Next time you lie awake and worry you do the same, eventually you will teach yourself that you are allowed to relax as it is all planned out and has a time for it to happen and that is not now. :) good luck with everything, and enjoy thanksgiving

Totally agree with the list making. I may over do it but I have lists for every aspect of life I need to accomplish and then my "immediate" list so when I finish my priorities I can throw it away. Really makes you feel productive to cross them off too.
