Rodco11, isn't it the worst? I know it will pass but it's frustrating enough for me to hide my scale for a week! Grrr!!!

Yes it is,, on a moderate cheat I can hold a staggering 5lbs. of fluid in a 12hr period and takes 3 days to remove. I used to blow their minds at weight watchers, and that was following their program. I keep leaning to LCHF diet, guess it's time to launch.

I'm the same. Easter this year I had a cheat DAY went up 5lbs, got it down in 7 days of straight workouts an strict eating. It sucks. Had the same issue on WW too, you're not alone!

I was looking at a Fitbit today, is that what everyone has? I guess I need to figure out what all these steps are about. I would like to begin jogging, but stepping might be a good thing first with my screwed up knee.

Warren, i actually just recently got a fitbit and it's pretty nifty! i have a slightly messed up knee too and i'd recommend an eliptical machine if you work out indoors like me, much easier on the knees than running.

I have a Fitbit. I wish it would sync with Fatsecret so I don't have to manually put in my exercise. Unless someone knows something I don't?

I have a fitbit too. Mine is the One since I'm not crazy about wearing things on my wrist. I have a question though Warren....do you have an actual diagnosis on your knee? Do you KNOW what exercises might be most beneficial for you? I did some knee damage a few years ago and the PT exercises were pretty varried but they were primarily to built the muscles to support the torn PCL.

I think I will buy one. Many are telling me elliptical over running. I will see, when the time comes. It is too bad, I used to outrun most kids, but now I have to start over again to get the cardio going.

I've been looking at an elliptical too. You've probably read this about fitbits but they don't natively sync to FS. There's a 3rd party app you can use to get your fitbit data to FS and vice versa.

Vickie, I really need an MRI, but the cancer diagnosis has thrown me a bit, but actually many older men may have prostate cancer, and don't know it, and generally they never metastasize from the prostate, with my size of cancer. If I was 50 it would be more of a problem. The knee is feeling better every day, but I don't want to screw it up again, either.

Ahhhh! Warren, the elliptical is definitely better on your joints because there's less impact from footfall (although I find you don't eliminate it entirely, I still lift my foot to some extent. If you overdo it on the elliptical I find that the muscles towards the inside of your knee get tight and sore... but this is my experience from doing about 210 minutes a week on the thing + 10, 000 steps a day walking. I think it's probably more beneficial for you while your joint is healing than starting to jog right off the bat.
