I hear ya.... There are some desserts that just call one's name! And, if willpower isn't cranked up to 100%, it can be hard to ignore the calling. I used to enjoy tapioca quite a bit. After being on Atkins for some time and wanting (not needing) sweets, I found good lo-carb substitutes for things like that.
I took an Atkins Vanilla shake, added a few TBS of chia seeds, cinnamon, a little Torani SF vanilla syrup; shake and refrigerate for a few hours. I can't imagine getting much closer to tapioca than that stuff did.
Haven't had it for a long long time, though. The longer I stay away from things, the easier it is to pass them by now. Hang in there, and regain your focus. You can do it!!!!

Bread pudding with a warm cream sauce.... oh, my.....
However, what's happened in the last two months since restarting my lifestyle changes is that I have lost the taste for sweets. I went to to surprise birthday parties over the last two weeks. At each, I indulged at had a small piece of cake. Five minutes after each piece, I had a headache.
Fool me twice....

Rice pudding....good stuff! Been a long time since I've had it but I packed in enough other stuff on Saturday. Anyway don't worry about, what goes up comes back down.

I wish I was one of these people who have "lost" their taste for sweets or feels yucky when they indulge. I don't crave them anymore but when I DO eat desserts my body feels like it is sucking in all the goodness. Like "where have you been sugar" yuuuumm! My husband says it's embarrassing to be out in public when I eat dessert cuz of the noises I make!

Isn't it a shame that one misdeed off the diet can ruin a whole weeks worth of effort.? I have a sweet tooth and boy when I let it take over I pay for it on the scale.

@Rckc...yep, we're sisters! @RkTkFx...Ben & Jerry's..can't EVER stop without eating the whole pint. I was eating 3-5 pints a week before I started. <--NOT proud. I've "fallen" twice since I began. {Tub Thumping...I get knocked down, but I get up again...Ya neva gonna keep me down!!}

Yes - it is difficult to maintain any type of portion control at times. I had one chocolate cupcake this weekend and made it last almost three days!

I can definitely understand where certain desserts just knock your will power right out of the way lol. For me, it's flan. And with my grandmother coming to visit in a few weeks I have NO idea how I well I will do with controlling myself when she cooks dinner and makes dessert. I have to give you props though - 2 years without making rice pudding is great!

Wow, Rice pudding. Who'd have thunk it! So yummy. We'll it's gone at this point. The kids took over and obliterated it. Perfect! :) It's just amazing how easily we lapse into old habits when we don't prep our minds for the battle.
