Today begins day 5. I can't believe how much I think about food. I was thinking that I'd have my cheat meals every 10 days instead of once a week. Thoughts? How often do you have your cheat meals?

I don't trust myself to have cheat meals yet. I'm afraid if I fall off the wagon I will go SPLAT!! Some people can do them, I can't. Best of luck to you.

Rhontique, I feel yaa there and that's an excellent point! Perhaps I'll forego indulging for a few more weeks. Let's keep encouraging each other! 💪💪💪

I was not in a great state last weekend and I emotionally ate (everything). I’m still recovering today. Every morning and night this week I’ve been craving sugar because of this lapse. Even though you are talking about a controlled indulgence meal there is still a risk if your willpower is not intact. If you decide that it is going to happen eventually, get in, get out and get back on your mission. You are doing awesome! Keep it going!

You are better off not to cheat for a while yet, it leads to serious craving. Been there, done that many times.

why put yourself through a cheat meal ? it only sets off triggers that can spiral out of control . get on plan and concentrate on what you CAN eat,, not what you can't .

Depends on what you mean by cheat meal. I always eat more than my usual when my husband and I go out to eat on fridays. More calories and possibly more carbs BUT within my range or just a little over in calories. Then back to regular next day. Now, if you are talking about planning on going hog wild I would advise against it. At least until you are farther along...

if your just starting, I would opt out of a cheat meal at least till you've been on your program a bit longer. It will just set you back if you do. I personally dont ever plan a cheat meal bc Ill go over board. Instead I will do "rewards" for meeting goals but they are always fruits or an outfit instead..

I agree with waiting awhile...but when you do cheat only do it for a meal and not a day of splurges. Also, eat what you really want, and truly enjoy it. Don;t feel guilty. Life is to enjoy and you can reach your goals with a little indulgence along the way.

My cheats are usually when I am on the road and I am with my husband. It usually consist of one or two things I miss but is just a few carbs over what I usually have. Like oysters when we were in New Orleans. If I really crave something REAL sweet my husband will get it and I have one bite. Then I remember why I don't eat it anymore. TOO sweet. He can lose 10 lbs just thinking about it. Otherwise I just have a little more food or save it for eating at friends houses where I don't want to bother them with cooking special for me.
