So, the restrictive cleansing phase of my diet and exercise plan is finished with results about as expected. Since I began on Monday, I have been on a strict regimen of pink salmon in the morning and fresh pineapple in the evening. Aside from that, during my day I have had multivitamins with additional potassium, calcium and vitamin c, drank loads and loads of water (with electrolytes) and chewed sugar free gum (with xylitol for added dental health benefit).

The first two days were rough on everyone around as I was irritable and hungry as my body cleansed itself of all the junk and relied on very little to fuel itself for the day. By Thursday, I felt normal again and by Friday I was ready for the first week to be complete. I am now down 12 lbs of mostly water weight and digestive system sludge, but it's an important first step I've taken in each of my body overhauls in my life (the first with a 100 lb weight loss, second losing 60 lbs).

For the rest of this diet at least until I reach my goal weight, I will be taking in a careful diet of 270 g of protein each day. I am balancing this so that the foods are healthy and have all the protein with minimal carbs, calories and saturated fats. Most of the protein will be accompanied by healthy fats and fiber carbs which will keep me full in conjunction with steady water intake and chewing gum if I get any pangs. I will begin an hour of cardio in the morning and 1-2 hours of weight training in the afternoon starting tomorrow which will occur every other day. On the days in between I will be doing just cardio to allow for muscle recovery. I am on my way!
