Decided to walk last night instead of swimming because the winds were still blowing stuff around which means it would go into the pool, or worst case, land on my head in the water. So, only 2.6 miles, max speed was Sadie dependent, but we were all sweaty by the time we got home. watched a cool video on zone training, so going to chase that again in the water and on the rower. I need the normal. I've been giving myself a pass, but crying isn't cardio and it needs to get done. so picking up from here and moving forward as best I can. preordered a new watch since the sensors on my 5 have been giving bad readings or missing them completely the past couple of months.
Body seems to be normalizing from the strangeness of the past few days. blob up, muscle down slightly, water holding. having ice again makes a huge difference. the solution was not pretty, but it works and cold water is much better than tepid or warm.
Chance is going to be huge, I think. he eats like crazy, he's at least 4" taller than when I got him and I think he's taller than Hogan already, although thin as a rail at the moment. his appetite is off the charts and I'm going to put him back on puppy food for a couple of months because it has higher protein. he's going to be a fabulous dog. I'm going to work harder to make him a great dog to be around. we just have to get past the puppy crazies first. he's thinking about chewing the table leg as I type this. stopped it just in time. Shasta is starting to play with him although she doesn't like the nipping when he goes into crazy mode. She'll correct him when she's had enough. I'm glad I did it, he's the right dog for this house and all three are already sleeping against one another, so the pack has reformed itself in a different configuration. a lot like life.
lots going on I'm not going to share because this just isn't the same place anymore. it is almost resolved, hopefully later this evening. things that don't matter in the overall grand scheme of things, but that can really mess with emotions. I would really like some calm normal at some point. one day. things are okay and we'll get through it all putting one foot in front of the other. there's no fear or anything like that, just meh.
