I've been eating very poorly for the last few days, I think I felt the need to compensate for being too restrictive last week. Hopefully, once I get the hang of this intuitive eating thing, the numbers will start going down again!
I am repeating week 3 of the C25K running plan this week (for the third time). Although I am physically and mentally able, I have such a hard time doing the 3 minute running intervals in week 3, and I don't feel that I'm ready to try the 4 minute intervals of week 4. But that is what I love about this plan, you can repeat a week ten times if you don't feel ready to move on to the next one. I still get a great work out doing the week 3 run, so there is nothing for me to feel bad about! My newest inspiration is running with my sister when I go to Canada for her wedding. We have both struggled with weight (she actually has a valid excuse...having 3 kids and a 'meat and potatoes' husband, who thumbs his nose at any relatively healthy food she cooks!) and have both recently taken up running, but have never had a chance to run together.
I have also been working on upper body strength, which is one of my literal weaknesses. I've simply been doing a few push-ups every other day, and gradually increasing the quantity. I've only done it twice, so there are no measurable results yet, but of course there will be eventually.
