Diario de Fledgist, 09 ene. 11

Last night we attended an event which I had been dreading for some time. Fortunately, I was able to exercise portion control, there was a vegetarian option available (tofu) which was, I was assured better than the meat choice, a very dry chicken according to Gail, and I was able to discipline myself to skip the dessert offering. I don't know how I managed to steel myself to ignore cheesecake, but I did.

I still have a long way to go, but I'm feeling very positive about it. I've come a long way in the past eight and a half months, and the overall effect has been that I've lost pounds (and inches off my waistline -- 15½ or so of those).

Great job, Fledgist!! I know what you mean about the cheesecake...I love it, and when it is near, it is so very hard to resist it's sirens call! I crash nearly everytime. lol You've done a great job in the last 8 1/2 months..congratulations, and here's hoping that 2011 is even more successful for you! Have a great Sunday.
