I'm between 5'6 and 5'7".
My mom (who needs to lose 30 lbs) would say I need to gain 5-10 lbs but my Dad who is ALSO an athlete AND aware of his physique understands what it takes to be thin AND maintain muscle by being 10-15% Bodyfat. You are asking your body to do something it naturally fights you on tooth and nail.
