Slowly but surely feeling better each day. Hunger pains are the worst - they really hurt, so I have to be careful to make sure I've got something in my tummy. Then after eating, I feel okay except for some burping that kind of hurts. I guess I have to remember I am still healing inside and probably have pain from just the swelling combined with the motions of my stomach. My incisions are still relatively painless, with occasional itching where healing is happening. When I turn certain ways, I think I can feel the port - it kind of reminds me of when I was pregnant and could feel an elbow or foot of the baby poking me. It's like once you feel the jab, you need to move right away to keep from feeling that uncomfortable feeling. I'm not taking any pain meds, except at night before bed to be sure I get good sleep. I have trouble remembering to limit my activity - I find myself about to start in on the laundry or other housework and have to remind myself that I can't do that just yet. I don't want to cause my band to slip while it is still healing!
