I was able to do it! I wanted to maintain 1.3 pound loss over 49 weeks this week. I had to lose exactly what I did to pull it off. I am ridiculously pleased to be able to maintain the numbers. I thought I might need the next three weeks to get back to this place. Yes, three weeks from my anniversary of when I started my records. I don't think it is a FS anniversary as I believe I joined a week or two after I began record keeping. According to my records I have lost a total of 61.3 pounds since the third week of August last year.
Today I am going to the Land yet again. Funny to keep capitalizing the Land however that is how we speak of it. Fifteen years ago we made a leap in faith as a group to purchase 9 quarters of land where we would hold our festival and also develop the rest in an eco friendly manner. From the purchase time onward we refer to it as the Land. By the by we are mortgage free! Yay! I don't believe I have been to the Land (2.5 hour drive each way) quite so many times in years past.
This time it is my good friend Pat's birthday and potluck. We have been close friends for over 30 years. She is grieving her husband since January. Two of her four children (the ones with grandchildren!!) live near the Land and the other two (no grandchildren) are quite willing to travel there.
This means that I have a buffet ahead of me today. Since breakfast and lunch will be eaten in my home it really is only one meal. I am sure I will navigate it just fine. My biggest hurdle will be the homemade goodies. Store bought ones are a never mind!
My non scale victory today is in progress. I am cleaning out my husband's garage. To put this in perspective he was handy with mechanics, carpentry, plumbing and electrical and had ALL the tools to go with each and some are in triplicate! He also had many broken things he planned on fixing including electrical cords, children's toys, chairs, etc. His garage space got away from him approximately 20+ years ago so that it became a dumping ground with little sense or order. It was heaped with stuff approximately 3-5 feet high over the entire double garage. Why didn't I tackle this sooner? Because my husband would never have agreed to throw anything out or for me to try to organize his belongings as I would do it wrong. I threw up my hands on this years ago as having too many rules to follow that would hamper any meaningful progress.
Got the picture? I have put in 16.5 hours (yes I am counting to motivate myself I am guessing the entire project is somewhere between 30-40 hours) thus far. It has only been in the last 6.5 hours that it even looks like I have made progress. Sounds like weight loss doesn't it when the first part no one can really notice?
At this moment, I have a length and two widths cleared to the walls with some organizing at the wall point. I have two aisles of open space. My challenge today is to get the floor clear to the last length wall leaving me with a strip down the middle that is piled high.
