Wow, a little housework and boom...bust through the mini plateau...
Morning Update:
Although I didn't sleep last night, I feel good because I am 98% finished with my project report. I anticipate putting the beast to rest today. Its probably going to amount to 24-25 pages and its fully cited. Just a crazy undertaking but its done. So tonight I will lay down for a long sleep..a well deserved stress-less sleep.
As for right now, I am celebrating my new low (weight wise) with a Hershey's candy bar. What can I say? I love chocolate.
A few thoughts:
1) Weight loss in one place? - Ok, so I can definitely tell my waist is where I am losing the weight..that and my face/neck area. My chest and other areas remain the same, sort of. I am thinking I probably need to target those areas to burn fat with some sort of aerobic exercise routine. I will probably start that when I go under 220...before when I did the aerobics, I built muscle which stunted my weight loss even worse than plateaus and while I KNEW that the weight gain was muscle it still bothered me, so I will probably concentrate on straight weight loss until I am significantly under 220.
2) Who is that in the mirror? About two and a half years ago, I came back from an all inclusive cruise. I looked at the mirror and asked myself "Who is that staring back at me?" I had hit rock bottom, I was at 267 lbs and in danger of breaking the 270 level. I knew that it was either make a change or probably start feeling the ill effects of all that weight. I started a diet and in 6 months I went from 267 to 212lbs. I was so giddy, however I lost sight of the ultimate goal of 180. Gradually the weight came back and then at my mother's passing on July 14, I was back around 256. Her passing lit a fire in me...I needed to get back to my goal. I looked at that mirror and made that commitment. This morning,I looked in the mirror and I started recognizing that guy, the guy who was confident and feeling good back in October of 2010. The ONLY difference between he and I is that I will continue till I hit my ultimate goal of 180, no matter how long it takes. Right now I am about 13 lbs away from the lowest weight I achieved previously, 212. This time, I will push past that limit and keep going to levels not seen since college and then high school. I am committed and this site will help me see the progress, however slight, in my pursuit of that goal. Thank you FS.
3) Happy - Don't let anyone or anything bring you down. When you are happy it makes everything a bit less caustic. So remember, count your blessings and if you can, help someone smile today!
