Diario de Bialynia, 11 sep. 18

It would be disingenuous to claim that I am currently following a healthy diet. Spending at least 10 hours a day with a 4 hour round trip commute on top leaves me with little time for cooking. So, there is a lot about how I eat that I need to fix, but I've cut booze right down, knocked beer on the head and replaced it with gin and slimline tonic, and that is helping. Really, I need a break from booze altogether and so to that end I've also just been drinking slimline tonic and pretending there is gin in it. I've also re-evaluated my goal, from losing 30kg to losing 10kg. I find this smaller figure far less daunting and more easily achievable. When I hit my target I'll give myself a month or two to learn how to stabilise my weight and then tackle the remaining 20kg target in increments as well. I'll wrap this entry up by stating that I really, really, really want a Krispy Kreme donut right now.

Mini-goals are a good idea. Especially if you have them set here as the colour of your progress stripe changes more often :) Nice result so far!

Thanks Phooka. Yep, with ADD I try to do everything in life in easy to manage bite-sized chunks, so I'll try to apply the same approach to my diet too.

I travel a lot for business and I find this app helps a lot to just get a grip on habits. Also if you like a drink that’s ok you just have to factor it into your allowances. I used to be really hard on myself, but I’ve realised that if I track my food I can have my treats and still maintain my calories. Refining your diet takes time. I also carry apples everywhere, when im getting hungry or cranky I have an apple, most of the time it stops me making bad choices. That’s my top commuter tip :) good luck 👍

Increments really help with large losses, I used to take it 7lb at a time :)
