Small goals are always the best. Makes you feel like you achieved something and you don't have to wait so long to see the goal met.

that works for me....when I look at the overall amount I need to lose, it can be kind of depressing, so ten lbs at time I figure.

Yippee - good for you! Celebrting each little milestone makes things so much easier. You might also want to use a measuring tape starting now so you can see progress even if the scale isn't showing it.

Lilypad that is awesome! My top weight was 220 and it took me a while to get to 200, but everyone calls that "Onederland" when you get to 199. You're doing great, a 9 pound loss is awesome. The first 3 months of my diet, I lost 10 pounds a month. I got spoiled by how fast it went. I have been struggling to lose the next 20 pounds all summer. Just a couple of days ago, I got back to the weight I was on May 31st. I gained ten pounds, and had to spend all summer getting it off. Don't be discouraged by bumps in the road, you WILL get there!
