Well, I'm glad August is over. Our washer/dry and stove had issues, so we bought all three new. Very stressful to spend that kind of money when one just bought a new house in May. However, it's over and I love my new washer/dryer, for some reason the oven doesn't work on the new stove. Since it's a holiday weekend no one can look at it till Tues. Oh well no baking or cooking for me. It's funny, I was so stressed I didn't eat a lot so lost weight, then my messed up brain decided we should celebrate this wonderful achievement by eating something I shouldn't. Why is it the closer I get to my goals, the more I sabotage myself? Whenever I see anyone that knows me they are full of praise for what I've done, but when I look at myself I just see failure. I've worn 3X - 4X close my entire adulthood and yesterday I put on XL shorts at Kmart - you think hey that's an accomplishment, but I thought "I wish it were a smaller size". Oh well, I'm hoping for a better (or at least cheaper) Sept. I have a wedding to attend in Dec and with that goal in mind I want to get under 200lbs before I have to buy a dress.

You can do it! I do the same thing trying on new clothes lately - down several sizes but I still want more. My strategy is to buy as little as possible because I'm still losing... There are things I bought 6 weeks ago that feel sloppy on me now - it's a good problem to have - right? I hear about the appliances - the Keurig died last week, a tv that was starting to act up died as well, we had an emergency septic pump-out - thought the pump was going or gone but the plug had come un-plugged, hubby chipped a tooth this weekend, and I dropped one of my camera speedlights and it's dead... Our fridge is freezing things up at times as well but I just don't want to call in a repairman for that at this point... We have a 25th anniversary vow renewal to go to next weekend and a baby shower the following - I'm thinking I'm going to have to buy something to wear - when I can find some time to shop.... Hope you have a great week and that they get your oven fixed up!

Yikes, you definitely know how I feel. We'll get through it!

Don't forget the thrift shops - while I was losing weight, I bought several transitional outfits for very nice prices, and I donated my big sizes for a nice tax deduction.
