Scale moved this week!! Very happy!! Haven't been eating enough though. Have to increase my calorie counts somehow. Just haven't been that hungry and it's hard to do without carbs lol. Hope everyone did well this week.

Well peeps here we are at another weigh-in. No change from last week. I can't really complain or say it was unexpected since over the prior 2 weigh-ins I went from 268 to 251. So I'll just be happy I stayed at 251. I've been a rock on my low carb diet this past week so maybe my body is just adjusting or filling in whatever loss I might have had with water this week. I'll just keep my eye on the prize and continue on this week. Hope everyone is doing well with their own weigh-ins this week.

After such a great starting week last week I certainly didn't expect a nice 4 lb loss this week, but I'll take it!!! Work starts tomorrow so I will try to take a 5 minute walk break every hour so I'm not sitting like a lump all day. I will also try to get up and do some stretches or other exercises during the day if I have a lull. While I would love to continue at a 4 lb loss per week, I am not counting on it. I remember the ups and downs during my first 100 lb loss and how everything slowed to 1 lb per week or even less. My first goal is to hit the 195 lb mark that I was at almost a year ago before I started on my insane carb binge during 2016. Then I will aim for my 150 or less goal. It helps to actually look at short term goals each week rather than the big picture. Therefore my next goal is to get below 250 for next week. This way I can feel a sense of accomplishment and not get stressed over the larger amount of weight I still have to lose. Hope everyone is doing well on their goals this week and wish everyone continued success.

Well this has been a magnificent first week of following a low carb regimen. I have kept to 40 carbs or less all week. I am sure a huge part of this loss is all the fluids that built up while rampaging on all that high carb fast food and desserts, but it's still wonderful. If I can continue on and lose at least 3 pounds a week I will be very happy. More than that I would be ecstatic. Less will still be ok. I am also prepared for plateaus although I hope there won't be many. But no matter what happens, I will keep my eye on my goal and not let anything deter me.

Well folks, today is the big restart. I've saved my previous history in my documents so it will disappear from here. There will be no looking back or seeing prior successes or, more importantly, failures. I have given myself a clean slate beginning today. I am hoping to reach my goal by Christmas 2017. It will be my gift to myself. It may be overly ambitious so whatever my loss by that date will still be a gift. If need be I will just move back the date a little further to accommodate my body. I am also changing my diet to incorporate low carb eating as much as possible, especially now at the beginning. For awhile I will be avoiding fruits (I am supplementing with Vit C with rosehips)and concentrating on my leafy greens and other low carb veggies. I will now be a new work in progress. Here's to a great and healthy 2017 for all!!!
