Yess!
It's only Wednesday and I'm already back down to my low. Maybe I really will burst through to a new low this week, which will be such an amazing feeling! Especially after I had an indulgence weekend, lol.
I have defiantly found a rhythm that my body likes and works well with. I don't think my body needs an indulgence/spike day every week but once every month seems to work wonders for me. I have been trying to stay under 1600 calories a day except on days that I go to the gym. On those days I try to eat a little more just so my body has more energy to do a good hard workout. And this all seems to be working, so I'm going to stick to it for now, until my body needs a change, then I'll find something else that works.
I was kinda getting upset with my results a little while ago, getting discouraged because I thought I wasn't losing fast enough. I was sad because when I looked at my weight history I realized that I had only dropped about 10 pounds in a month or so, and I thought I should be losing more than that.
So I started looking and paying more attention to everyone else's weight history and I noticed that everyone's weight fluctuates up and down just the same as mine has. I then started to realize that 10 pounds in 1 month means that I have dropped a little over 2 pounds a week, which means I will roughly lose 120 pounds in a year (if I continue on the same weight lose path). When I stopped to think about it that way I realized that I was right on track and I should stop doubting myself. I didn't gain it all over night and it's not going to come off over night, it's going to take a lot of very hard work and determination!!
So I have now stopped paying so much attention to my weight history and I'm trying to just focus on the here and now, so to say. After all, the work I do today will be the results I see tomorrow!

I Didn't do too bad...
I over ate a bit but for the most part I think I did pretty good! We had a great time, lots of quality family time and I think we all really enjoyed it!
We did quite a bit of outdoor activity (when the weather let us lol, wasn't very nice on Saturday but every other day was decent) mostly walks and a couple hikes, the girls had fun exploring the outdoors.
I think it really helped that I was prepared and didn't have tons of unhealthy junk food around, or I'm sure I would have eaten it with my family. None of them even complained that we didn't have any junk food! They all loved the healthy snacks that I had prepared and everyone was happy! Thank goodness lol.

Just a little worried about this weekend, we are going to a cabin in a very secluded area and I doubt I will have cell phone reception, which kinda sucks because I don't want to get out of my good habit of tracking everything I eat everyday. So I will bring a paper journal with me and just write down everything that goes into my mouth, just in case I don't get any reception (always better to be prepared).
I won't have my exercise bike but I plan on doing lots of hiking and exploring (maybe even swimming) with my daughters (and hopefully we can get my Husband to come with us too). The change might be a good thing, we'll see.
I did all our food shopping last night and I did a really good job. I bought lots of fresh fruit and veggies so the girls will be able to have their snacks but they will only be able to choose healthy ones lol. I bought the stuff to make ants on a log (thanks Sarah) and we’ll make them with peanut butter and cheese whiz just to change things up. They will enjoy that (and so will I, sounds yummy). I also found a variation to the traditional somores, you still use graham crackers and a marshmallow but substitute the chocolate for a little fat free jam, the girls are really excited to try it.
I feel much better going into this weekend knowing that I won't be faced with too many bad, unhealthy food choices. My main concern will just be portion control, which I think I should do just fine with. Alcohol might be another issue, but I will do my best to only have a few and enjoy myself. After all that is what this vacation is all about and I plan on enjoying myself and my time away with my family.

Back down from the weekend :) Oh I really hope I get to see the 280's soon, I'm so ready for them! It feels like I have been in the 290’s for a long time already. But on that note:
Going away for the long weekend this weekend, should be a really good time. Just hope I don't have too many temptations lol. I'll do my best to steer clear of too many bad food choices, but it shouldn't be that hard, since I'm the one doing all the food shopping lol. Healthy food for everyone all weekend! My family might be a little upset so I'll make sure to throw in a treat or two, but for the most part I hope to feed everyone some very healthy and delicious food!!
Anyone have any good ideas for some healthy treats??
I could really use some ideas before I go shopping tonight.

I think I'm finally starting to understand how my body loses weight! Yay, I'm finally starting to see a pattern! This is so exciting! Now let's just see if I can keep this pattern going and really get to know it and my body at the same time.
