I have been looking over the foods allowed for phase 1 and realized while i was doing ok there were a few foods that i was eating too much of. hopefully I will get this all down and begin feeling good. I bought sugar free fudge cycles that are allowed but I realized that that is a huge non no for me . I can't just relax and eat one i begin craving them and then find my self eating 5. I told hubby that i will just have to go with out sweets other than gum and maybe jell-o for a while.
On the up side i have really enjoyed playing with flavors and trying to create meals that my family love but in a healthier way. Yesterday I made chicken taco soup but I left the corn out and instead of pinto beans I added black beans. We usually put tortilla strips on top but for me I added fresh baby spinach to mine. it didn't wilt all the way so it offered a crunch as well as helping me get more veggies in.

Today was not such a good day as far as eating goes. my hubby,son and I went grocery shopping and out to lunch for my sons birthday. I was pretty excited when my son chose to go to Chilies for lunch because I knew I would be able to get something that was on my diet. However, since hubby orders my food when we go out He didn't he do so well this time. He tried and thought he was getting healthy food but since I am on phase 1 it wasn't so great. He ordered me the bottomless lunch when is salad and soup so I though cool i will pick off the crutons and since he always orders dressing on the side I will just add a little. He ordered me chicken enchilada soup which i am sure isn't on the plan but not as bad as potato. As they brought the food my night mare began.. the meal comes with chips and salsa! my binge food! I stated at the chips and prayed the salad would come quick and once it did I was relieved but those darn chips stared me in the face. I gave in and ate 2 not so bad and I thought i could do this. by the end of the meal I had eaten 10 or 15 chips , granted not the 2 baskets I normally would have but definatly not what I needed to eat. I decided that I would just try to do phase 1 an extra week and all will be fine. I really want to kick these cravings in the rear.

I have been on phase one for 6 days now. Hewn I strted I weighed 200 and now I am 194.5. I know I am loosing weight but I am still not sure I am following the plan the right way. I feel like i am still eating more than I should but i am not sure what the right portion is. right now it is working but I am afraid when I get to phase 2 and begin to add other thingsin I will be sabataging myself.
