Last night was my granddaughter's 2nd birthday so we had a little party for her. Needless to say, there was cake...friend or foe? Depends on the situation I guess. I knew I would have a piece so I didn't even attempt to tell myself that I wouldn't but I had 1 small piece and that was it! It was a shining moment for me. :-)
Today has been a good day however it amazes me how my body craves sugar after that one piece last night. So crazy! Suck it up buttercup because you had your treat last night!!

Not sure what is going on today but I am starving!! I made sure to bring lots of fruit and veggies but I seem to have eaten most of it already. I am just so hungry! I'm drinking water too but the hunger pains are still there. I suppose it could be my body adjusting to the healthier style of eating but I'm not a fan of this starved feeling. LOL

Well this is officially day one for me. I'm off to a good start! Weighed myself this morning and I'm still the same. No more gaining for this girl...only shedding!

This summer has definitely been a challenge for me...on so many levels. I have been pretty much M.I.A. when it comes to FS other than a few posts here and there. I can certainly say that this has been the most interesting summer I've had in a very long time. Not good or bad just interesting. I've learned a lot of lessons and much about myself.
All this week I have been making little changes. I decided to start that way because making a HUGE change all at once is just setting myself up for failure. This weekend I'm shopping and cooking so that I am ready for next week. I've done some damage this summer for sure and now is the time to take control of my life! I'm tired of being overweight and feeling sluggish and tired all the time...this sucks! I'm ready to get on with it and to shed all this excess weight. I'm taking control!
