I was in pretty good shape about a year and a half ago. I have a terrible time losing fat. With a reduced calorie diet it took me about 4 years to loose about 70 lbs or so. I then got sick and was put on a diet that made me gain about 50 lbs in a matter of a couple months. After being almost where I started I began to feel as if being in shape was hopeless and not worth the effort (since it took supplements, riding 10 miles a day on my bike 6 days a week and a 1,000- calorie diet to get there). After that point my doc ran some tests to figure out why I couldn't lose. Now I'm on some stuff to help my body's imbalances when it comes to weight loss and fat storage and I'm actually losing it at a much higher rate then ever with the same amount (or less) effort than before. I love this tool, because it makes it fun and easy to keep track of my intake on a much deeper level then simply writing it down. Plus, where else do I get to be represented as a pumpkin eating a hot dog?
P.S. I wish this thing would let you post comments to people's food diaries to increase positive support, plus I wish it would notify me when someone has added to a thread that I started or am part of.
