I THINK I may have learned by accident that I MIGHT be able to go without my morning coffee :) I put 1/2 tbsp of cocoa powder in mine this morning and didn't like it, so dumped it out, and don't really want to make another. That would help to take 80 calories out of my day :) We'll see.

For the 10th time, I need to stop weighing in every day, it does nothing but discourages me :) I was so hungry last night because I was in a hurry and had to chow down dinner and head out the door by 6:15, so that is the last I ate last night. I'm really trying not to eat after 7 or 8 pm, but that was a bit early. So I was starving when I got home, and my husband made a hotpocket at about 10:00pm, and even though I don't like them, it smelled soooo good - BUT - I didn't cave when I got home. Little victories like that feel great. Guess I thought I deserved a little budge in the scale since I did that, but to be honest with myself, yesterday I went a little crazy with the magical peanut butter cookies, so I really didn't deserve a scale budge at all. The cookies are all gone now, so won't be there tempting me today :) Actually the problem was that I was so rushed for time for dinner, that I just had a salad instead of what I made for dinner because it wasn't out of the oven yet, so I still felt hungry or unsatisfied or something and reached for the cookies...........again and again and again. Sometimes I just eat things to get rid of them so they won't be there tomorrow (isn't that horrible.......fat free half & half & cookies yesterday). Today will be better. I'll go pound it out on the elliptical!

Also, I am trying to dissect my calorie journal, and think that I will start planning my meals for lunch & dinner after breakfast when I get on here to enter what I ate for breakfast (which is always the same). I might also put the espresso machine away for a while (tear) we'll see if I can REALLY do that, might have to just have one a day or something, not sure about that yet. Hopefully these changes will help get those calories down!

You might want to look over your food journal and check to see if you are staying within the servings allowed on nuts and fats and things like that. For instance only ONE serving a day from the nut group. Good luck to ya! Good job getting on those killer elliptical machines, thats one heck of a workout

here's a site you might find helpful. It's a little outdated (like milk servings) but I copied this and put it on my pantry shelf and used it all the time for servings sizes per meal, etc. It helped me more than the book did for that sort of thing. Good luck

Janelleas, I read your post and thought, "well all I have for nuts or seeds is the muffin (flaxseed)", but then I looked a little harder, and saw the PB cookies, which I didn't even think about being nuts, I just viewed them as a treat (mind you one I went well over on :). So you are right, I'll have to keep that in mind! Thanks!

Hey, sounds like you are doing really well! Those early dinners can be killer for late night munchies! I HIGHLY recommend trying out some different teas!! =D I had a nice cup of my bedtime tea called, Sleepytime By: Celestial Seasons... I like it with a wedge of lemon, squeezed and dropped and a 1/2 tsp of the xylitol sweetener or 1 tsp of honey. YUMMY! It's satisfying and good and my cravings are gone with only a few lil calories. :) Otherwise, try some celery with p. butter or lite cream cheese spread if you're really "hungry". Try some of the good teas though... really! lol I've never been big on tea, until I learned of the good properties of the green tea last spring and started brewing it for iced tea w/a touch of sweetener... YUM! Then this fall, I've bought many kinds of teas and my fav is the Raspberry Pomegranate Green tea by Stash! =D YUMMY!! Good luck and keep up the great work! ~bully aka "the tea pusher" LMAO =D

Bullytrouble - the tea sounds delicious! I used to be big into teas, and they did help with my previous weight loss because they do fill you up (could be all in my head, but I drink out of huge cups, and it just does fill me up), but lately I've been in such an espresso stage (which I have to have with milk), that I've been foregoing the teas even though I know that's what I should be drinking instead! That raspberry pomegranate sounds delicious!!! I must go buy some! Thanks for the tips.

I believe that I actually read in the SB book that it didn't matter if you ate your last meal later in the day; perhaps this is obsolete now....anybody know? Just trying to take off the anxiety about needing to eat late on certain nights.

Why was your cup of coffee 80 calories? Have you tried Land O Lakes fat free half and half with your coffee instead of milk? It's surprisingly very creamy and tastes very good. I use it all the time instead of milk. It's only 20 cal. for 2 TBSP, 0 fat, only 2g sugar, 3g carbs, 1g protein. Also, Coffee-Mate makes a low fat, sugar free creamer that comes in flavors. I just tried the vanilla caramel and it's very good. A little goes a long way. It's 15 cal. for 1 TBSP, 1g fat, 0g sugar, 0g protein, 1g carbs. I usually always eat a later dinner because I just get too hungry and overeat at night if I eat earlier. I can eat less during the day and then have a regular dinner later. And, yes, really really try to weigh in just once per week. It's a lot less stress. Hang in there! GO BLUE CREW!!!!!!!

Well, I'm a latte lover. I really just like a hint of coffee, about 1 to 2 shots of espresso to 1 glass of fat free milk (hence the 80 calories) and some sugar free flavoring. I have tried the Land O'Lakes fat free half n' half and do like it, but not the coffee mate, maybe I'll have to try that. I might also have to put the espresso machine away and just get the regular coffee pot out because it's not as strong, and see if I can do maybe just 1/2 cup milk with coffee, or a few tablespoons of fat free half n half. It'll be an experiment. I haven't even had one today and I'm doin' alright :) My mantra for tomorrow morning is "I will not weigh myself today, I will not weigh myself today :)" I'm always just so curious/excited to see if I've dropped, but obviously I've seen teh downside of that too. Thanks for your advice, I'll definitely buy the above ingredients next time I go to the store and figure something out!!
