well today was a learning experience I guess. I made something for jeff's bday that was free of the alleged allergens I'm testing. I wanted to make it veg for my sister so I made gluten free pasta with beans. I have been doing so well with my eating lately that I thought maybe I had learned how to figure things out and could go without my diary. (plus I spend a lot of time on this site and would like to cut down when I'm able). unfortunately i failed to notice that my food today had too many carbs and not enough protein, and I went through the day completely exhausted and foggy and with heartburn.
the journalling I did today helped, though I felt challenged when we watched home videos and I looked bigger than I expected. I suppose I'd be feeling worse if I hadn't journalled. I think self-esteem is important for weight loss. without it it is too easy to either give up hope completely or overdo it and abuse oneself. I have been waffling between these two extremes for a while now.
I want to start measuring myself. I think that is going to give me faster results than the scale. sararay mentioned that and it reminded me.
still need to do my strength training today...
