Do you mean know the points on this site or some other way? You can get the materials by joining a meeting. Joining has been free for a while (you would have to check and see for your area) and you would only have to pay for a meeting to get the materials. Then you could try and do it on your own. The actual points is based on scientific theory using fiber, carbs, protein and fat. They encourage you to choose the healthier foods which a usually lower in points than the fatty foods which are much higher in points. So you may get 26 points and eat 1000 calories one day and 1400 another based on what you chose to eat. I do WW but use it with a modified Atkins and track my calories. I lose better with lower carb foods, but I enjoy the freedom of WW because I know I will have to do this for the rest of my life.
