I guess i will use the weather as an excuse of why i fell off the wagon and gave in to one of my fast food cravings. I had a craving, ate the items, and then wrote down the calorie count and all the other good stuff that comes with fast food like fat. Not only did I feel sick to my stomach for eating the fast food, but i felt more sick to my stomach when i finally realized that the fast food- food wasn't worth the money, effort to go get, and the effort to scarf it down over a craving

I find that what i did my sound silly to others, but today what i did was a life style change exercise that needed to be done. For having a fast paced life, I find it hard to find time to make a healty meal, let alone sit down and eat a healthy meal. I decided to buy duplicate of what i ate today at the fast food place, took it home, sat it out, made a healthy meal i enjoy many times through out the week. I amazed myself of how in the same amount of time of sitting in the fast food line, paying, taking the it home and eating it, that i could make the same healthy meal, have enough for a few left overs, and save almost 400 calories, 15 g of fat, and eat a lot more if i wished.

I didn't walk on the treadmill today, as i slept most of the day because of long work days wearing me down. Its been almost three week since i have started this life style changes and it isn't easy. It is going to take more than a few months to possibly a year to learn how life long bad decision about eating have lead to my obesity. A lot of this is due to my fault, but another part is the lack of education on preparing food, measuring food, cooking, shopping, and picking out food selections, portion sizes, reading labels, skipping the processed food isles, and much more to learn yet.

Tomorrow i hope to feel a little better and i am learning to change my life when it comes to healthy eating.

I think what you did was far from silly! You probably save money too, with the home cook option. I suspect after doing that little exercise, you probably won't fall off the wagon easily. I try, on my days off or before I start work (I work at home so this is an easy option for me) to make large batches of easy to freeze meals that can be microwaved & pack them up in two serving portions in ziplocs & freeze 'em. I do a lot of crockpot stuff in the colder months. I also buy whole chickens when they're on sale & roast them using an upright roaster, then portion it up & freeze what I won't be using right away. I've also learned to make sure I have an easy to make & eat lunch, since I'm too busy to do anything elaborate at lunch time. Don't worry about how long it will take - the time's going to pass whether you stick to this or not - and if you do stick to it - you're adding time to your life, not losing it! Keep up the good work & remember we all have bad days. :)
