I am a little frustrated today for no reason. I am snapping at everyone and that is not like me. I ate okay today. An apple for breakfast, sushi for lunch, cheerios cereal mix with a few mixed nuts for snack, hummus with taboulle and pita chips for dinner, and grapes one slice of deli swiss cheese with 10 wheat thins for an evening snack. I am going to work out tonight while watching t.v. and then I am going to bed.

Ok, forgive me if this advice goes against what your diet says, because I have not closely researched it. But it has been my experience that when I do not get enough protein at regular intervals, I have a lot of ups and down in my blood sugar, which directly affects moods and can make you feel "crazy" I actually fought depression for several years, and was on and off meds, until I realized that the way I was eating was making me have these drastic ups and downs. I used to eat tons of cereal, candy, chips white bread, etc. all day long and could not figure out why I would be feeling great one minute and completely nuts the next. Well it turns out I was actually not bipolar...LOL...I just needed more protein to keep my blood sugar stable. Like I said, I don't know what exactly your diet entails, and I am not suggesting you switch diets or anything, I am simply saying that if your diet allows it, maybe more protein could help you not have that frustrated feeling. I read a book that really helped me, if you are interested, it is called Potatoes not Prozac, and it talks about how fluctuating blood sugar levels cause many kinds of mental issues, like depression, irritability, anxiety, or just a scattered or restless feeling. Hope that might help. If you don't want to take my advice, no problem! Just throwing it out there.
