definitely in a blah mood today. just found out one of my very close friends can't come to my wedding. she lives in Boston, and there's a lot going on in her life right now. I understand, but of course I'm disappointed. If there's anything I want her to make it to, in terms of big life events, it's my wedding.

Anyway, I cheered myself up by watching the DVD the boy got me for our anniversary...New Kids On The Block "Coming Home" Deluxe Edition DVD! lol! Yep, definitely made me happier. :)

Trying to get back into the groove. Doing pretty good today so far. Not sure what dinner is. No one in the house wants london broil, so my dad's thinking of just making nothing and having us figure out dinner on our own. If that's the case, I dunno! There's a lot in the house, so I have a lot to choose from.

This week is filled with lunch dates, appts, and more wedding planning. Surprised?? lol!

I hope ur all having a great day!

The busiest girl in town! NKOTB, huh? I never got into them back in the 80s - I was to busy listening to Bruce, The Who, Traveling Wilburies, and stuff like that. My dad and older brother had a lot of musical influence on me! LOL Have fun with your lunch dates - I swear, I don't know how you eat out and still lose weight! Wish I could do the same!!!

I loved NKOTB!!! It was my first concert ever. I was so in love w/ Joey. I used to listen to their tapes in my brown Fisher Price portable tape deck lol. Sorry your good friend can't make it to your wedding. That sucks. :(

MOTG, I love those bands too!! BUT, I have a HUGE place in my heart for NKOTB and Hanson. :) Chris, I saw them twice last year and they were amazing!!

Oh my gosh, My "man of honor" when getting married (best friend) also was not able to come to my wedding. I believe it is something I will always remember and it still bothers me to this day. I sure hope there is some way you guys can work it out!

wow, J...yep, I think it'll be the same way for me. I'll definitely always remember this and be bothered. But I have to remember so many people love me and the boy, and they'll be there no matter what.

I was so impressed reading your bio- how amazing to have lost all that weight on your own. WOW. I had someone important to me miss my wedding and it still is painful when I think about it. Most of the time I don't think people know how much little things can hurt

Hmm. If you don't want to discuss I understand but I'm curious as to why she can't come. Because she has "a lot going on in her life?" Or was that separate? I could see if her, say, brother was getting married the same day but otherwise I would be upset too! I mean, sheesh, it doesn't get any bigger than a friend's wedding. Never got into the New Kids, but my sister had NKOTB sheets. That was sweet of your fiance to get you the DVD, knowing it would cheer you up.

Sharon, thank you! It's taken awhile! BEETS, honestly she spouted off a bunch of reasons why she couldn't come, and none of them seemed that dire, especially when I was planning on paying for her entire trip here and hotel stay!

WOw. That is kind of crazy. The only explanation I could understand is if she has some kind of clinical depression. (Speaking seriously.) In which case she needs some help! I could see if she was having money issues and didn't want to put that on you, but I really hate when people let their pride get in the way. IN that situation, it's not being noble. I hope you don't mind me saying! My husband's best friend's brother did something similar. He couldn't afford to go to the wedding but wouldn't let anyone pay for him. We were just like, "Get over it and go to your brother's freaking wedding!" Clearly having people you love at your wedding is more important than money. And she could, I'm sure, take a bus and stay at your parents' house if she really didn't want to spend your $. Sorry. That kind of stuff just really jams me up. Maybe she will change her mind.

BEETS, it's funny u say that because she mentioned how she might be going through some kind of depression, and I agreed with her and told her to get checked out. I doubt she'll change her mind though, and honestly I have way too many other things I have to worry about at this point. :)
