Veggie, are you on level one or two? Just curious. On level one you are not supposed to have milk, corn, ice cream, wine, pasta, or full-fat cheese. On level two dairy is reintroduced, but fat-free or 1%, or light soy is recommended. Pasta is allowed in moderation on level two, but whole wheat only, and again, in moderation. I have a full food list that I copied out of Dr. Agaston's The South Beach Diet if you want I could send it to you. Not trying to criticize at all, I just thought you might want to know. :)

bullytrouble, I just got the book and my book says that in phase one you can have fat free or 1% milk, Milk soy plain low fat (4g of fat or less per serving), yogurt plain fat free and buttermilk plain fat free... however on the all the menu plans I don't see any milk on phase one. Is it in any of the recipes? My book says it's a 2005 edition? has it changed? I haven't been drinking milk anyway. but this question seems to come up a lot
