Diario de I want to be healthy, 06 nov. 07

Day 3 started off great. Breakfast, Lunch and mid-morning snack went well all according to the diet. I was able to withstand all of the cookies and snacks today at work, but when I got home my daughter is selling candy. The good thing is that I resisted the candy and decided to make myself something I thought I could eat. The keyword is THOUGHT. I mistakenly thought that I could have the sugar free/ fat free Jello pudding. After about a good 15 to 20 minutes later, I could tell I made a mistake (blood sugar fluctuation). I got out my book, only to realize that it is fat free gelatin, not pudding allowed in phase 1. I'm totally disappointed! I need to sit down and plan snacks that I can have during time like this. Does anyone have any suggestions.

dont panic...when you first start your gonna make mistakes...you learn from the mistakes...tomow is a new day to do better...

I take it you are diabetic? The sugar free pudding shouldn't affect your sugar then, if it is sugar free, yes/no?? You made great efforts and didn't know, so no biggy!! Now you do and you can have sf jello next time instead. :) I suggest getting a list of what you like to eat and what you can have off of it and get stocked up. I find that if I have plenty of what I "can" eat, that I don't crave things that I can't, especially if they aren't in the house! ;) Keep us posted and feel free to ask more questions! You're doing great, keep up the great work!!
