Today is the final day of week three. I have lost 4 pounds this week for an over all weight loss of 8.5 pounds!! Yeah!!!!!!! This week I saw substantial results mostly because I did not have a single cheat day. I am trying to be pretty strict because I plan on unleashing the ravenous beast within on Super Bowl Sunday. I am almost certain that it will be a blood bath because the beast does not take any prisoners. It inhales everything.

I noticed something a bit strange this final day of week three. I do believe that I am starting to grow feathers. I have eaten so much chicken that it was bound to happen. Chicken, Chicken, Chicken. At this point I am almost certain that PETA and the entire chicken population have put a bounty out on my head. I am a vegetarian’s worst nightmare and am honestly a bit sad to admit how many poor birds have lost their lives because of me.

My diet has been pretty much the same for the past three weeks. Meat, Vegetables, and…….. Drum roll please….. WINE!!! Oh how I love my wine!! I used to allow myself 16 ounces (2 cups) a day but I have managed to wean myself down to 14. I can’t really say that I miss those extra two ounces but I can say that I don’t really feel like giving up anymore. What fun would that be!!!!!!! I drink wine for the taste, and for the buzz. GASP!! SHOCKING ISN'T IT!!! I have heard it said that if you are drinking to get a buzz then you must be an alcoholic. Well, I do not know if that is true, as I have never met anyone EVER that drinks just because they can’t resist the taste. Drinkers appreciate a good buzz, and wine drinkers revel in it. Giving up a few more ounces may just take that buzz away and I am just not willing to make that sacrifice. I would rather have a few more lumps in my trunk.

So heading into week four, with the grand finale being the super bowl, I suppose I should have a game plan….. First, I think I will eat another chicken, then I think I will drink some wine to get over the guilt of eating that chicken. Next, I think I will eat some more chicken. What a vicious cycle this is becoming.
