Tonight I'm having resistant starch mashed potatoes, which I made last night and left overnight in the fridge...

I'm soooo chuffed with myself; last year I bought a shirt at the gym, but the size I got looked almost 3 sizes too small, and it fitted me very very tight!! This morning when I put it, it FITTED PERFECTLY!!!! Those cm's are slowly but surely getting less!!

My unofficial weight this morning is 75.7 kg

Oh it sure is!!! Just a quick question BBO, does spaghetti also become resistant after standing? Or just rice and potatoes?

Any pasta benefits from the chilling process to create resistant starch in them but some foods have a higher resistant starch content than others. Potatoes would have more than pasta. I read an article recently in which a person took the package of pasta and froze it before cooking it and then refrigerated it and then heated it before eating. Apparently that also helps with creating resistant starch. I froze my potatoes once after boiling them(it froze because I forgot I left them in the freezer) and it tasted horrible!! Maybe freeze before boiling might not taste as bad. I'll give that a try soon.

I posted a journal entry with an article link. Have a read. The link didn't want to show in full here when I comment with it.
