I need to retire - work is seriously stressing me out. I just finished my lunch, popped on a few minutes and a new meeting pops up - URGH! Hubby called from home, to ask what's for dinner and Mom (also home) called to ask me to stop at the store on my way home. More Arrgghhh!

I hate it when someone asked "What's for dinner?". I got to the point where I would say "Whatever I cook and if you don't like it, go eat someplace else". I've mellowed out now that the kids are out of the house.

Mickfan1 I feel the same way. Its like other people keep forcing me to center my life on food when I am trying to not make it a focal point of my life. Sheesh I only have a husband, so why can't he cook for his self? I'll tell you why - because he will look through the cabinets and fridge a million times and say there's nothing yet somehow miraculously I can cook up a real meal using the exact same stuff.

Lame! Like my husband, he knows that if he learns how to be a good cook, then I will expect him to cook more often. Mine will cook once in a while, but he doesn't use any seasoning. It keeps me motivated to do the cooking!!

Oh, you are not alone. I love my husband dearly, but he does not help out at home, except for mowing the yard.
