After a life time of failing to lose weight on my own, I finally made a decision to get the weight loss surgery (the sleeve).

I just came home from the hospital - no pain, no complications. I am pretty sleepy, though, but I don't feel like lying down.

Nevertheless, to those who have been following me and responding to my journal entries - thank you for the encouragements you have sent to me.

I am on a different journey, now and expect it to be successful. Since I have exhausted every area I know; and being close to 70 years old, I thought it was time to do something drastic. So I did.

The first week I am on a liquid diet of broth, jello and protein shakes.
