Anyone else feeling a little jittery over seeing all the candies available with the fast-approaching Halloween holiday? I mean good grief! There's chocolate and sugary treats EVERYWHERE!

LOL

For now I'm avoiding cravings by snacking on my low carb chocolate treats. (Thank you Russel Stover for making a NET CARB line of candies!) :) But still...this month has been a never-ending bombardment of temptation.

Two days ago I did cave during a business meeting and joined everyone else to have a couple of small slices of thick-crust pepperoni pizza. Oh boy did I ever pay for that! The meal tore up my tummy, and I spent the rest of the day groaning over a queasy stomach. It's been so long since I had a "real" pizza...one that I didn't make myself on low carb tortillas...and I didn't realize my body just doesn't like the high-fat pizzas on thick crust anymore. Won't make that mistake again!

Just try telling yourself that the candy is gross and doesn't taste good. And then remember the pleasure only lasts a few seconds. The guilt will last the rest of the day.

I agree. Thankfully the candies in the store don't tempt me since I know I can have the sugar free russell stover ones. However I fear Xmas more with tons of baked goodies cropping up everywhere. Be glad regualar pizza made you feel icky. Your body knows it's not good, your brain just needed a little reminder :)
