Diario de chesgreen, 11 abr. 16

Happy Monday. I've lost 7.6 pounds since last Monday utilizing a IF/LCHF regimen. For sometime now, I have had been thinking, what if embrace Intermittent Fasting and low carb as a eating strategy? Thank you members, buddies for introducing me to LCHF. Come to find out, there was already a book about a IF/LCHF strategy written in 2015 by Cristian Vlad Zot titled Persistent Fat Loss: Combining Ketosis and Intermittent Fasting for Year-Round Fitness. I came across this book while in the middle of reading The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living, written by Jeff S Volek, PhD, RD and Stephen D. Phinney, MD, PhD. (Recommended to the group by Bcoulal last week 4.2.16) While adding the P.F.L title to my Amazon Cloud reader, one of the suggested books on that page was Ketogenic Diet Mistakes You Need to Know. I added that as well. Read this and P.F.L in their entirety and I am about 70 percent complete with the Art and Science book. Mind blown. After I break my 24 fast at dinner tonight with some LCHF chili that I made and froze back on 4.3.16, I will transition to a 16/8 IF for this week and next week to a 18/6 IF similar to what Cristian does and see if this IF works for me. Thanks again Bcoulal for The Art and Science... suggestion. Make today and everyday count warriors.

You are right, Ches. I have read all of the books you mention and they are great reads with lots of helpful information. I have been doing LCHF/IF since October. I eat only from 12 noon to 8pm daily. The weight loss has been effortless and I have been far from starving, as one would expect.

Yes, I do 16:8 daily. I drink Bulletproof coffee in the morning and eat between 1:00-2:00pm and then a later dinner at 8:00pm due to my work schedule.

Failed on the 24 fast so I will turn it into a 16/8. Broke it and logged lunch. Logged planned dinner and I will hit my daily macros. I will be under my 1800 RDI but a good amount. Still focused.

Nice Job! Sounds like you are on the right track. Today is my first day and I am doing really good. I know that doesn't seem like long, but I am use to giving up way to easy because I have a addiction to food, which we all do or we wouldn't be here. Chesgreen do you weigh once a week or how often do you weigh in?

Nice work, and that's what I love about Intermittent Fasting, you can start out shooting for a 24hr fast, and even if you only make it half way you can pick it up and turn it into a 16/8. Nothing works like IF/LCHF, great results!

Thanks Bill, HCB, Mom, Diva, Tiny, Steve, Sara & Phil. @Tiny, Welcome. I am a food addict as well but I am tired of being fat and taking action. I try to only log my weight in FS 1 a week but I am a little obsessed with the scale and get on in the morning and night. @Sarah, wife is ok, not fully converted to LCHF yet but I can only do my best to have her at least log her foods. Motivation is internal and I don't want to nag her. @Phil, ABSOLUTELY! IF/LCH ROCKS! I've peeked at your diet calendar many times and hoping by the end of today, I can stay at 975 calories. It's already 3 PM EST. I think I can, I think I can.

You can do it! You're looking at a guy that could destroy entire cities of food the way King Kong and Godzilla rampaged through their respective locales! Iron will, bullet proof! (and I don't even drink BPC!) Great work!
