Epiphany Last weekend, a friend told me in a chat that my major problem was my reluctance to let go of fear and anxiety when there was simply nothing to worry about. He was right, so I followed his advice and tried to relax a bit. It really works! The result is that I can think better now, make decisions that improve my personal well-being, and reason out problems instead of dodging them. This experience dawned on me that finding the root cause of a problem is the best way to solve it. In this case, my problem is obesity, and the root cause of me unable to lose weight is anxiety eating. Not knowing the root cause, I used to wander around all day, worrying about all sorts of things. When I finally could not take it, I turned to food to relieve my stress. However, it only worsened the problem. Now that I have found the root cause, I am confident that I can shake off the muffin top around my waist and become the person I want to be. Most important of all, I lost another pound this morning!
